Weight gain during pregnancy can be tough

If you may have had an eating disorder and you’re struggling with how your body is changing during your pregnancy, here are some ways to cope:

  • Try to ignore all the comments about how your body is changing. A lot of people will talk about the changes, but just ignore them.
  • Find a doctor who understands what you are going through, and ask to be weighed backwards at your appointments.
  • Don’t focus on the number on the scale; think about your general health instead.
  • Remember that the baby is helpless and you are not. Whatever you do happens to the baby.
