It’s uncomfortable to feel thirsty! If your thirst is bothering you but you can’t have a drink because you are worried about your fluid levels, here are some tricks you can try: Suck on ice instead. It’s still water, of course, but it lasts longer and often is more satisfying! Suck on hard candy or chew gum. Eat low potassium fruit that is frozen or very cold. (For instance, frozen grapes, cherries and strawberries are delicious!) They’ll last longer if you suck on them. Rinse your mouth with water or mouthwash (just don’t swallow!).
