What is an A1C test?
A blood sugar blood test you get at the doctor’s office or lab.
What does it show?
Your average blood sugar level for the last three months.
May indicate your chance of having other health issues because of your diabetes.
Why do you need it?
This test is the best way to know how well your blood sugar was controlled over the past 3 months.
How is it done?
The A1C test can be done with a finger stick in the office or by drawing blood from a vein in your arm.
