How can I exercise and have fun at the same time? There are many ways to work out and have fun at the same time.

  • Walk with friends or family. It’s a great way to catch up.

  • Take a class either at a gym or senior center.

  • Go swimming – find a pool, a lake or go to the beach for the day and play in the ocean. Check with your doctor first if you have a catheter, tube or other implanted medical device.

  • Lift weights or dance during TV commercials.

  • Go dancing.

  • Do you have a garden or even a window box? Make it beautiful.

  • Yoga is great for strength and learning to relax. If you cannot take a class, go online to learn some positions.

  • Go for a walk and listen to an audio book, podcast or music. The time will go faster and you’ll walk further.
